Who This Book Is For

If you're reading this book and your aren't one of my friends (thanks!), chances are you're someone who works on the web. Maybe you don't think of yourself as a developer at all. Sure, you probably know some HTML and CSS. You are probably whip-smart and excellent at your organization's content management system. But you know there's a line to where the "web people" take over and you step away.

If so, I'm hoping some of these essays speak to you. There's a domain of web workers who do the yeoman-like tasks of managing web content, dealing with stakeholders, leading meetings and teams and a bunch of other things I can't think of right now. This work isn't just important, it's integral to ensuring our organization's digital presence stays active and current every day.

When I talk about 'regular people' on the web, I'm speaking about us.
